A Dueling Piano event to benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Danville

A Dueling Piano event, featuring Deuces Wild, was held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Woodlands Resort in Wilkes-Barre, in partnership with Geisinger Health System, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Danville and their newest addition, the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

A dedicated Committee set out to help raise $100,000 toward the overall $880,000 campaign goal.  In one year, they hosted bake sales, dress down days, lunches and events.  The Dueling Piano event was the last event on their list and thanks to the help and support of their sponsors, donors, and guests, they reached their $100,000 goal.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room will extend the support of the Ronald McDonald House of Danville by providing parents and families of critically ill children with a place to eat, shower and rest.  While they face, what will be their most challenging times imaginable, they can take comfort in knowing that they are not alone and there are people who care about their well-being.  The Family Room is being built within the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center and will be just steps away from where the incredible doctors and nurses are caring for their children.

Hollister Staffing was a Platinum Sponsor of the event, and guests of Hollister included Chief Operating Officer of GHP, Lisa Goldman, Chief Information Officer of GHP Dolph Courchaine, wife, Brooke Courchaine, and ETL Manager – IT Operations, Harvey Messenger.
