According to a recent Harvard Business Review Publication, the time spent in collaborative activities in the business world has ballooned by 50% or more over the last 20 years. This reality makes effective communication and conflict resolution within teams an absolute business imperative.
On Sept. 26-27, Kip Hollister and Karla Driskill facilitated a 2-day seminar for Alkermes global IT management team that focused on improving team collaboration by understanding the gaps inhibiting team performance as well as providing tools to enhance communication and conflict resolution across continents. The 25 participants included IT managers from Alkermes Waltham, MA., Wilmington, Ohio, Dublin, Ireland, and Athlone, Ireland. The seminar was very well received and one participant said: "I found these tools so helpful that I can’t wait to take them back to my team and train them so we can have a common global language to utilize in our communication."
