One of the largest and fastest growing consumer tech companies in Boston is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst. The company is growing quickly and went from 150 to 350 employees in just one year – they’re now generating $80m in revenue and looking to expand further.
This Senior Financial Analyst position plays a key element in the FP&A team and is well-suited for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, digging into the data and utilizing their analytical skills to drive decision making.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys entrepreneurial, fast-moving environments and is comfortable making recommendations and call-to-actions based on their own logic and analysis. This person will be actively groomed for promotions as the finance team will need to be scaled out further to support their year over year growth – good opportunity for a high performer looking to take next steps in their career.
The Day to Day:
Participate in annual planning and forecasting to ensure it aligns with firm’s strategic plan
Design and deliver attention-grabbing, easily understood presentations to educate, inform and influence the decisions of Senior Executives
Build complex financial models to support decision making – including running and analyzing different scenarios and building reports
Preparing financial performance analysis such as: financial statements, profitability and condition analysis and ROI trend analysis on various aspects of the business to assist with budgeting and forecasting
Help perform analysis and project reporting for all stakeholders
Identify cost trends and offers solutions to address deviations from targeted budgets
Provide analytical support for the development and implementation of operational objectives
Provide extensive scenario forecasting (what happens if I do X?)
Develop actionable metrics and reports that offer strategic insights for Senior Executives
Interact with various departments spread across the Globe and build strong professional relationships to contribute to a strong overall company culture
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
At least 3 years of relevant FP&A experience
Strong analytical and communication skills
Advanced Excel Skills
SalesForce experience a plus but not required
Experience in technology and/or SAAS a plus but not required
