A rapidly-growing company in Boston is looking for a Grants Manager to join their team. Working alongside the Director of Grants and Management, you will manage a portfolio of nonprofit organizations that provide a wide variety of services to their clients. The company offers programs and services to nonprofits throughout the city, which allows the nonprofits to have a deeper impact on the communities they wish to serve. This is much more than just a grants role - you will be heavily involved in the budgeting and numbers behind running the programs for multiple non-profits. This is a great role for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and who wants to diversify their skill set.
This manager role is perfect for someone with grants experience that’s looking to gain more practice in the accounting and finance fields. Whoever fills this role will feel a balance in their work between managing the numbers and building relationships with a variety of nonprofits.
What You'll Be Doing:
Grants management – support funding proposals, plan spend-outs, ensure documentation of funding awards
Client relations – provide financial analysis to the staff, ensure services are delivered efficiently, offer a high level of customer service to clients
Financial Management – collaborate with staff accountants to process deposits and billings, prepare monthly reports,
Create budgets and analyze expenses accordingly
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or financial management
3 or more years relevant work experience (non-profit experience is a plus, grants management experience is a plus)
Familiarity with accounting software and advanced Excel spreadsheets
The ability to multitask different projects with a diverse portfolio of customers at once
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for social justice organizations
