Mid-level administrative assistant needed for a higher education institution near Boston! This is a contract position, perfect for someone with around 3 years of administrative experience who is looking to take on a new challenge. Managing calendars and scheduling meetings
A wide range of administrative tasks such as copying, document management, completing spreadsheets and presentations, and more
Booking travel, processing travel vouchers and handling related tasks
Answering department’s phone line, providing information or routing calls as appropriate
Coverage for reception desk during absences (lunch, etc.)
Some event planning activities: coordinating with caterers, booking event spaces, etc.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3-5 years’ administrative experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience managing a calendar with MS Outlook or similar scheduling program
Experience booking travel for others (complex – including car rentals, flights, etc.)
Advanced level MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Organized, great time management skills
Exceptional customer service skills, able to respond to requests with appropriate sense of urgency
