Looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join a very innovative company that is rapidly growing. Responsible for the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of semi-monthly payroll
Review and update payroll profiles for employee changes, new hires and terminations.
Manage travel and expense reimbursements: detailed review according to company policy, and intensive communication with employees and managers.
Generate and distribute required internal payroll reports on a scheduled basis (bi-monthly, quarter end), and prepare information for external audits.
Maintain knowledge of federal and state payroll legislation and all laws impacting payroll
Oversee the preparation of year-end reports and W2 forms
Adherence to federal, state and local tax laws, and resolves state payroll tax filing/registration matters.
Create and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Bachelor’s/Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of corporate payroll administration experience
Certified Payroll Professional – advantage
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong communication skills, responsible, proactive, good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
