Burlington-based Biotech company is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting & SEC Reporting as an add-to-staff position. This Publicly traded company is a recent spin off of an industry leader, and is currently building out it's Accounting & Finance team. This is a great opportunity to jump on board with a well-structured, yet entrepreneurial company with an impressive team of experienced, yet down-to-earth folks.
Compensation for the position is commensurate with experience, but includes a strong bonus target and equity package.
Partner with the business to manage efforts for implementation of new and updated accounting standards across the company, including (but not limited to) new standards for revenue recognition and leases
Assist with any audit or regulatory requests, including financial statement tie out support and drafting comment letter responses
Take leading role in the preparation of SEC filings (e.g. Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, related XBRL filings, and proxy statements)
Monitor and assist in implementing new accounting pronouncements – including the newly released revenue recognition standard
Provide technical accounting support to the organization to ensure compliance both with internal policies and procedures, as well as U.S. GAAP. Consolidations, Financial Reporting, Operational Reporting
Ensure compliance with SOX and SEC regulations
Assist in determining accounting and structure for emerging products/services and related revenue streams
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
5+ years of experience with GAAP and SEC requirements (5+ years of Public Accounting, or a mix of Public Accounting and Industry experience)
Experience with ASC 718 and SOP 97-2 are highly preferred
CPA is highly preferred
Strong PC skills including Windows and Microsoft Office products
Ability to multi-task in high pressure, time-constrained situations
