Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and personable administrative assistant to provide support at a scientific research driven laboratory located within a top University in the Boston area. This is a contract position that may go permanent for the right candidate! Please only apply if you are able and willing to start as a temporary employee. This person will be in charge of scheduling, managing travel arrangements, assisting with projects and events, ordering supplies, processing invoices and providing any other administrative support as needed. Bachelor’s degree; and/or at least 3 years of professional administrative experience
Experience providing a broad range of professional administrative and project support. Including but not limited to: calendaring, coordinating travel arrangements, monitoring budgets, maintaining webpages, and other duties as required
Must be resourceful, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Tech savvy; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with FileMaker Pro is a plus!
Must be able to respond to regular shifts in workload and the changing needs of the organization and the people they support
Ability to anticipate and resolves problems; proficiently executes a wide range of advanced technical applications and updates supervisors on status of tasks and projects
Communicates and interacts regularly with university officials, external organizations, and the public on a variety of matters
A strong work ethic, personal integrity, and self-motivated
Professional verbal and written communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail
