Our client is seeking a dynamic candidate for a part-time program coordinator role at a top-ranked university in Cambridge. This is a temp to perm role. They are looking for someone to start ASAP, so you must be available immediately. This role is 20/hours a week.
Manage all activity related to this specific department including event management, financial tracking, curriculum development, and general administrative support for the academic department head
Operate as the point person for interdepartmental communication including working with the fundraising branch of the school, student services, faculty, staff, graduate education, and other departments as needed
Responsible for writing and editing weekly and monthly newsletters and press releases
Manage department calendars, provide internal customer service, and help provide solutions to complex issues that may arise in the department
Coordinate with faculty to help ensure the proper material is distribution for classroom use, schedule guest lecturers, help track availability of teacher assistants, and adjunct faculty
Other responsibilities as needed
Bachelor Degree is REQUIRED; Master Degree preferred
At least 5 years of Program Coordination/Senior Administrative support experience
Demonstrated experience handling complex tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment
Extremely strong attention to detail required; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of students and faculty
Experience using a variety of software including Microsoft Office Suite, financial software (SAP preferred), and customer relationship management programs
Candidates must be willing to give and receive constructive feedback and find ways to improve internal processes and procedures
Exceptional candidates will grow their responsibilities over time, limited only by their skills and ability
Higher education experience STRONGLY desired
