A top-tier Boston firm is looking for a Payroll Specialist to help process bi-weekly payroll for 1000 employees. This person will also serve as a liaison between HR and payroll and work closely alongside the Accounting team. This role works with a 4-person team and everyone is close and gets along well.
My client is financially strong and continuing to grow. This position will be groomed for a Senior title down the road and is a good opportunity for someone who’s interested in taking on more responsibilities over time, perhaps even outside of payroll and more on the HR side.
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for 900+ employees using Ulti-Pro
Track wage attachments such as child support, garnishments and leave of absence requests
Review and balance payroll against budgeted targets
Work alongside Senior Executives in higher level projects
Perform process improvements to ensure the department is running at peak efficiency
Input and maintain data regarding paid-time off and holidays
Help coordinate year end reporting needs
Payroll Specialist Requirements:
At least 2 years of Payroll experience
Experience with Ulti-Pro a plus but NOT required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desire to grow professionally and take on new challenges
