Thayer Academy Implementing Meditation to Enhance Game Performance

Many athletes, ranging from the NBA to the Olympics, recognize the benefit of meditation and visualization to enhance game performance. On October 3, Kip Hollister shared some meditation and visualization tips with the girls’ volleyball team at Thayer Academy in Braintree. Coach Callie Schneider found the exercise so helpful that she is now going to implement a 5-minute guided meditation at the beginning of each practice as well as prior to each game. One athlete commented as she was leaving that this is the most relaxed she has felt in a long time.
