One of our clients, a prestigious Medical School in the Boston area, is looking for an Admin/Events Coordinator to join their team! This is a temporary position, and it starts immediately. This role will be working closely with the entire faculty and staff team of the department and must be able to work collaboratively and possess the ability to give and receive feedback in an accountable growth-oriented environment.

Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a program, project, event or program.
Creates and implements administrative systems to manage area of responsibility.
Serves as main source of information, effectively responding to inquiries from potential customers, participants, academic collaborators.
Prepares and maintains records, reports, budget and plans.
May maintain a web page, website, or program materials.
work with faculty and planning committees, advise on event planning, create timelines for decisions, and will relay deliverables to responsible staff.
Negotiates with hotels, caterers and vendors, for events, and will order food and activities for participants of the events.
A minimum of 2-3 years of directly related event planning experience, preferably in a development setting
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
Familiarity with the following software or comparable applications is desirable; HCOM, vendor set-up, Concur, OBI, Certain Software, InDesign, Adobe creative suit, website management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, and able to prioritize.
Must be able to interact comfortably and productively with internal staff and external volunteers and donors at all levels.
