One of our clients, a growing Consulting Firm in Boston, MA, is looking for a Market Research Assistant to join on their projects. This is a temporary position but qualifying candidates will be placed on projects that follow. The successful market researcher will be able to analyze autonomously qualitative data, trends, strategies and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness. Position starts immediately!

Conduct phone-based, structured interviews with market participants and industry experts to gain insight into the key players, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
Use online market research and catalog findings to databases
Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct
Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort conducting phone based research
Willingness to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
A professional and mature demeanor
Strong time management skills
Must be available to come into the Boston office from 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday for the duration of a 3-4 week project
Experience with phone-based research, marketing, journalism/writing or a Master’s degree is a plus
