Looking for an individual to join a progressive wealth management firm located Downtown Boston. We are a rapidly growing investment management company that provides advisory services to high net worth individuals, and families across New England.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely processing of payroll. This position directly reports to the Accounting Manager and occasionally partners with our internal teams. The perfect candidate is diligent, and will adhere to established accounting policies, to ensure employee compensation, benefits, and deductions, are accurate.
·Prepare schedules and process payroll weekly (or bi-weekly) for both Part-Time and Full-Time employees
·Ensure earnings and deduction amounts are accurate, and completed in a timely manner
·Prepare payroll schedules that detail month of payment, state jurisdiction, and department charged
·Respond to payroll inquiries and requests by employees and other internal and external users of payroll data
·Research and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies/resolve any payroll related issues
·Ability to work in a high paced environment and work under pressure, while meeting deadlines
·Perform Special Projects (requested by the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and Controller) as assigned
·College degree preferred but not required.
·2-6 years of direct payroll experience
·Experience with ADP, Great Plains, and/or Quickbooks strongly preferred
·Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
·Self-starter with the ability to work independently, problem-solve, and prioritize multiple tasks.
·Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Solid Organizational Skills, Accuracy, and attention to detail a must.
Compensation: Up to $90K + Bonus (DOE)
