One of the most prestigious institutions in Cambridge, MA is looking to hire an Hire Coordinator for a temporary term of 3-4 months, supporting the HR Director of the Research lab department. An ideal candidate is someone who has atleast 3 years of HR experience, effective communication skills and a supportive attitude.

Daily contact with Lab faculty and staff providing information and guidance on HR questions
Manage temps process including ensuring adherence to Lab policy, training staff, monitoring appointments, approving timesheets, etc.
Coordinate staff payroll process and problem resolution
Manage all Lab member correspondence such as invitation letters;
Initiate and prepare correspondence such as invitation letters, communications in support of employees and visitors, etc.
Interview and recruit temporary staff
Take a leadership role with onboarding and retention of administrative assistants with regard to administrative processes and the like
Create and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports using Cognos and BrioQuery
Act as a resource for employees related to administrative processes at University and the Lab.
3 – 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist role;
Demonstrated strength in building relationships both internally and externally;
Ability to maintain the utmost level of confidentiality;
Strength in working with a diverse group of employees;
Exercise a collaborative approach to delivering services and solutions;
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment;
Knowledge of and familiarity with state and local employment laws;
Excellent technical skills with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel.
