·Work directly with the Manager to oversee day-to-day operations according to established goals.
·Manage the proper processes regarding the ordering, distribution, and receipting of parts.
·Ensures parts orders and backorders are completed efficiently and accurately.
·Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control systems that includes an annual physical inventory
·Responsible for daily functions including deliveries, tire jobs, counter, proposal generation and ongoing interaction with technicians in the shop and field.
·Ensures corporate pricing parameters in each customer category to generate sufficient gross profit to provide a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer satisfaction.
·Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
·Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals
·Directs outside parts and counter sales efforts to keep in contact with customers.
·Submit all required paperwork on timely basis.
·Forecasts goals and objectives for the department.
·Communicates, monitors, and enforces parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
·Trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
·Promote and maintain a safe work environment by communicating and enforcing proper safety protocol.
·Cultivate both existing and potential customer relationships to stimulate company growth by providing excellent customer service.
·Handle customer complaints immediately and appropriately.
·File annual parts returns with vendors.
·Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
·Other duties as assigned.
·3 - 5 years of experience in a parts department
·Previous management experience
·Knowledge in all aspects of parts operations including but not limited to purchasing, parts orders, invoicing, quoting, warranty, stock returns, operational procedures, etc.
·Solid parts and machinery knowledge
·Excellent customer service and selling skills
·Able to deal with customer objections in a professional manner
·Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
