One of our clients, a managed IT organization located in Portland, Maine is looking to hire a Support Engineer on a contract to hire basis. The Support Engineer will provide technical support for both hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate for this role will have related experience, a service-oriented mindset, and client facing experience. Responding to all technical assistance requests, both onsite and remotely
Documenting support requests and adhering to established procedures
Escalating and redirecting technical issues to appropriate resources
Tracking and documenting all issue resolutions
Troubleshooting user problems over the phone and with remote control technologies
The ability to manage, maintain, troubleshoot and support our users’ networks, equipment, software and services
3+ years’ of Technical Support experience; Microsoft Certifications are preferred
Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with users and vendors
Passion for teamwork, problem-solving and exceptional customer service
Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, dependable and flexible
Experience with HP, Cisco, SonicWALL, Server, and VM technologies a plus
Must have reliable transportation to travel to client sites as needed.
