Senior Data Analyst
Our client, an investment firm in Boston, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their company on a contract basis. This data analyst will assist in the analysis of current data management stage as well as defining the data lineage and help identify options for data management solutions. The ideal candidate for this role must be highly motivated to achieve client satisfaction and must also be able to work both independently and in a team environment under time pressures. Responsibilities:
- Define and analyze data governance policies, focused on the management of the data from technical, business and legal/regulatory perspective
- Collaborate with Business, operations and data teams to support and advise them in:
- Provide thought leadership and participate in root cause analysis on data issues, identify trends across data issues and suggesting solutions.
- Define and develop data life cycle and process controls for enterprise data
- Identify and document data quality problems through data profiling and advanced analysis
Requirements:
- 5+ Experience in managing data management projects
- 5+ Experience with data centric tools around Data Lineage, Dictionaries, Master Data Management, and Meta Data Management
- Experience with Data Management tools such as Collabra or other industry leading products
- Strong understanding of Investment Data and Investment Management industry
- Strong SQL skills in mainstream DB products like Oracle, SQL Server
- Experience with Data Visualization tools like Tableau
