Software Development Director
Located north of Boston, our client, a med-technology company, is looking to hire a Software Development Director. This role will be responsible for leading a multi-year, cross-functional software project within the company to advance medical software and solutions. Project leadership will involve building a new team of software developers and an external network of developers and providers to ensure rapid project success. This role involves managing and influencing cross-functional teams -- successful candidates will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the experience needed to “hit the ground running”. Responsibilities:
- Build a new team of software developers
- Work closely with stakeholders to provide status and release iterations
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
- Oversee the progress of the development team to ensure consistency with the established design
- Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc., in order to deliver a high-quality FDA and CE-regulated software solution
Requirements:
- 5+ years of development experience as a software architect in a management position
- Experience in modern software architecture a very strong plus, including experience with: Cloud and distributed solutions, Web/mobile application development (Android, IOS), Public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in data modeling, analytics, data mining, and machine learning
- Experience with relevant medical software standards and regulations 21CFR Part 11, HIPPA, IEC 62304
