A global, mid-sized pharmaceutical company is seeking a well-versed Director of Accounting to lead the financial reporting and technical accounting function. In this role, you will report to the CFO and work closely with various departments including Legal, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development. Due to the high level of visibility in this position, we are looking for candidates who have 7-12 years of experience and are a licensed CPA. Public Accounting experience (preferably from a Big 4 or Large Regional firm) is required.
Oversee technical accounting areas such as Lease Accounting, Debt Financing, Revenue Recognition, Business Combinations, and Equity Administration
Manage quarterly (10Q) and yearly (10K) financial reporting process
Partner with various department heads throughout the company on strategic objectives, budgets, and operations
Ensure compliance with SEC, US GAAP, and SOX
Additional ad hoc projects with Chief Financial Offer and other senior leadership as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
CPA and public accounting experience required (Big 4 or Large Regional firm)
7-12 years of experience
Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and SOX guidelines
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
