IT Asset Manager
Our client, an investment firm in Boston, is seeking an IT Asset Manager to join their company on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing, maintaining and improving policies, standards, processes, systems and measurements that help the enterprise effectively manage and optimize IT Assets. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term strategic management IT Assets. Responsibilities:
- Assist IT leadership team with the creation of a robust governance process to manage hardware and software assets
- Ensure key attributes of assets are maintained and updated in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Ensure the integrity of asset information required to control the services by establishing and maintaining an accurate and complete asset management system
- Verify the inventory of all assets, and provide status reports on the inventory and any proposed changes on a scheduled basis
- Partner with a cross section of internal teams to address and resolve complex issues associated with the management of IT assets
- Optimize the hardware and software portfolios using best practice IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle methodologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in IT related career field
- 5+ years experience working in IT accountability/asset management
- Experience gathering, identifying, defining, and communicating project tasks and requirements
- Experience maintaining asset inventories of cloud environments such as AWS
