Tax Assistant - Growing Nonprofit!
We are currently partnered with a Boston-based nonprofit who is looking to hire for various location across the Boston area! They are looking for candidates able to commit to a 2-4 month assignment, and some of the locations have language requirements (listed below in qualifications). They are ideally looking for candidates who have strong attention to detail, thrive in fast-paced environments, have an interest working within the nonprofit space, and are able to start immediately!
Responsibilities:
- Processing an array of tax documents and update customer files
- Managing the department’s daily clerical functions and general office procedures
- Maintaining records of correspondence and in-house communications
- Performing data entry and update confidential documents
- Working with other departments regarding purchasing, personnel, payroll, and other administrative matters
- Speaking to customers by phone and email
Qualifications:
- High school degree required/BA or AA a plus
- Experience working in a professional office environment is preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Language proficiencies (English, Spanish or Haitian Creole)
- Customer service experience strongly preferred
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping composure
