Business Systems Analyst
Our client is a private multi-asset investment firm looking to hire a Business Systems Analyst in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate for this job will have hands on experience understanding business requirements, designing, prototyping, testing solutions and training users in an agile environment. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate implementation of business requirements for all technology initiatives by acting as a liaison between business users and development resources
- Help design, implement and support data analytics initiatives across private markets business units for and other departments across firm
- Create documentation in support of business and technology requests
- Provide continuous evaluation of technology solutions and capabilities to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate with vendors and development teams to design, implement, and configure solutions
- Identify areas of risk, potential improvement areas, and the financial implications of those decisions
- Participate in user acceptance testing and support system training and documentation
- Work with users to collect, validate and document data and reporting needs
Requirements:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science, systems and/or finance; Master’s Degree preferred
- 3+ Years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of SQL, relational data structures, reporting schemas, data transformations and data lake pattern
- Prior experience with reporting, data analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity working within cloud native system landscape using AWS data and integration products
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cloud data warehouse products (e.g. Snowflake)
- Coding or scripting experience
- Experience working in teams using agile software project management processes
- Experience using Python, R or Scala for data analysis
- Understanding of big data and data science techniques such as regression and cluster analysis
