Our client is looking to hire a Senior Windows Desktop Engineer based in Salem, NH on a contract to hire basis. Perform secure baseline image creation and tailoring of Windows operating system images for specific hardware configurations
Conduct Windows 7/10 Readiness and Compatibility Assessment of hardware, software, and infrastructure environments
Support application packaging, deployments, documentation, and release control in an Enterprise environment
Write documentation, including project plans, backup plans, business continuance, installation procedures, and troubleshooting tips
Develop and document architectural design for endpoint hardware as well as operating systems configurations and management capabilities
Maintain documentation of activities and have checklists for the various tasks in respective areas of responsibility
Manage incidents with the hardware vendors in the event of a problem relating to a supported hardware platform
Ensure that images load without errors and completely in all supported scenarios
Develop Windows 10 Base Image, craft the operating system and GPO settings so that they integrate with all enterprise hardware and software
Provide desktop management automation through scripting to deliver consistent and predictable services
Validate that each image meets the customers supplied requirements and internal quality guidelines
Conduct sanity testing of images before they are delivered for QA testing
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field) and 8 years of related experience
7+ years of experience specializing in Windows desktop, server, and enterprise technologies Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems including configuration, customization and automation
5+ years of Active directory experience including establishing and management of GPOs to enable features and control security settings
5+ years of experience using Microsoft SCCM to create, manage and deploy application packages, operating systems images, and patches
Working understanding of Active Directory including Kerberos, GPO, LDAP, and Forest/Domain design & deployment
Experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows security technologies including Windows MBAM and Windows BitLocker
