Volunteer Day at Rosie’s Place

A team from Hollister recently visited Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter in Boston’s South End, for a day of service and volunteering. Hollister sponsored the meal, and 15 team members rolled up their sleeves preparing and serving lunch for the women and children at Rosie’s Place. Rosie’s Place, founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States, offers a variety of services in the community and provides an environment where women who are poor or homeless may find safety, maintain their dignity, and seek opportunity. Amy Rae, who is part of Hollister’s Philanthropy Committee, organized the volunteer event and said, “One of things I love most about working for Hollister is that we are able to volunteer and support the under-served in our community. One thing we all have in common is that no matter where we come from or how much money we have, we have all needed a helping hand at some point in our lives. I love that my company is committed to serving the greater Boston community and beyond.”
